Are you active in the Discord?:
Yes.
What is your timezone?:
GBT +00 (Great Britain)
Do you have a working microphone which you are willing to use?:
Yes.
Have you any experience of being a CO on a different server or any experience at all?:
I have had quite a lot of experience if you were to ask me, I have been the Maj of Regiments over countless of times, I have always loved the commanding role as I respect my men but I will do anything to accomplish the task at hand, I am well trained in these matters as well as I have been trained and have trained many people, all in different regiments. Some examples of this would be:
Royal Military Police,
British Armed Forces,
Royal Air Force,
Royal Armoured Corps,
GOTA.
I don’t believe the GOTA is a commanding rank but I believe that it will be quite good if I put this in here. I have been working under and giving orders for a long time.
How many hours do you have on Gmod?:
At the time of writing this which is:
21/05/2019 - 22:04
I have reached an estimate of 1559 hours on Garry's Mod.
What you know about the regiment (50 minimum words):
As this is an application to the role of the General of the Insurrectionist, I believe that this will need more than just a flimsy 50 word.
The general of the insurrectionists can have many roles in the base, the main one is organizing the military that will be under him, gathering his gallant troops to send them into the glory of war and fight and die for their cause. They also have the job of assisting any commander in the military with whatever they need, making sure they have all the resources to take out the dastardly NATO, pushing them out of our homeland! This also ties in with setting up events and operations with the commanders, this is to take the town and any key points and anything we need that will help us fight. As a General, you are obliged to join your brothers on the field as any commander who sits in their chair as their men go out and die for you is not worth being a commander.
Why you want this regiment (minimum 100 words):
I love to be the General / Commander in charge of the insurgent helicopter regiment because I love to operate aircraft such as helicopters and I have always loved being the commander of the base and any other commanding rank, Commanding and helping out the Innies base and I am quite decent at training and piloting in addition, I loved it when I was the GOTA on the previous servers I have been a part of, but I wish to change things up a little and swap over to the opposing side for once and I know what I am doing. I know all of the rules on the base and in the server, I know how to train and set up events, I know all the training needed to sustain these, the only thing I need is one chance to show you that I can do this, that I can command the army.
What can you improve:
I have a few points I wish to improve, I wish to loosen up a bit cause as a NATO personnel, I have been really harsh and strict against people which I don't think is quite good.
I want to gain more experience on the ground as I am usually in helicopters.
How active are you:
I can be really active especially because the summer term is coming up.
I do have to make food and such so I might be AFK at some points but I prefer food over gaming then dying of starvation (Not healthy, I learned first-hand:') ).
What makes you stand out?
Well, my strictness in my training is one of my qualities as all my men are disciplined when I train them, they never act out of order, and even if they do, they would be fearful because any man under my command doesn’t disrespect mine or any of the commander’s orders. But as an Innie, I wish to change this and become a little bit nicer as I think I was a little bit too harsh.
I also have a wide variety of commanding roles that would enable me to adapt to most situations and to do most training that is expected of a general.
Please explain what the following phrases mean:
RTB:
- Return To Base.
This is a really easy phrase that you can learn, it says it all on the tin, you are to return to the BOO, (or if stated) the FOB.
FOB:
- Forward Operating Base.
A forward operating base will be a base that is rather quickly set up/put together.
It could also just mean a base that would separate us from the enemy which could be as small as a simple compound.
AO:
- Area Of Operation.
Normally said as AO, AOO is a set area with mostly imaginary lines where a set operation is set out, like capping CT, there is an imaginary line surrounding CT that you aren’t allowed to step over.
BOO:
- Base Of Operation.
The BOO is, put simply, your home base, the base you are to protect with your life, this is where you eat, piss and shit, it’s where your brothers in arms live, it’s where you get your headphones and your phone with a couple of magazines to think about how your girl at home is probably jumping on that reverse cowgirl stunt while you’re in an outhouse letting one out.
FG:
- Front Gate.
The front gate is also really simple, it’s a gate at the front of the base, this is to stop all the towlies coming into your house. The front gate is manned by the MP whom their commander doesn’t know what most fucking phrases are let alone pressing a button, it’s jarring.
HQ:
- Headquarters.
This is the other place you need to become a meat shield for, you are to protect the HQ and the General Team with your life, if a single Towelie goes in for an ol cup of Joe then you fucked up.
My added ones:
DZ:
- Drop Zone.
Native to the use of Paratroops and the Airforce, a drop zone is a designated area that set personnel is supposed to jump out of the aircraft over and parachute down to, there are different types as well, like when dropping into the water where no parachute is needed at all.
LZ:
- Landing Zone.
A landing zone is like a drop zone but for the aircraft!
That’s a joke, a landing zone is where the set aircraft is supposed to safely lower itself to hopefully land without an issue, whether it’s a bleed flare land or a more traditional low land (don’t know the name of that one).
KZ:
- Kill Zone.
I mean, do you need to ask?
An area of caboomy bang bang, blaaagh.
It’s a set area like the AO, where the bogeys are and a place you need to be cautious of because you’ll be shot If wreckless which I hope not will happen.
A-A:
- Anti Aircraft.
Anti Aircraft is what it says it is, this could be a weapon, vehicle or a person, either of which could take the aircraft straight out of the air, which (a little secret in between me and you), is a tiny little bit of a fucking annoyance.
RV:
- Rendezvous.
To rendezvous with someone is to meet at the desired place, nothing else, we will use it if sending men on a search and destroy mission or sending them to downtime.
PTTO:
- Permission To Take Off.
This is a request when taking off from the airfield when you ask this in comms and a higher brass sees this and grants it, you may be permitted to take off if anything else if they deny this then you are not permitted to take off and are to stay grounded.
PTL (Army):
- Permission To Leave.
This won’t be used by me but I’ll explain nonetheless when grunts on the ground get permission from a senior NCO to go on a patrol then they will ask for PTL, permission to leave the base if this is granted then the unit can leave the base for their fun little adventure. If they are denied then whoop de whoop, stuck in the base.
PTL (Air Force):
- Permission To Land.
When an Aircraft has finished their mission and are on their way back to the BOO, they will have to give their ID then ask for permission to land, if it is granted then you can land at the airfield if not, you are to stay in the air until further instructions.
